Global User Manager for the Workplace

Use

The Workplace user administration can be performed on the Workplace server with the Global User Manager. The special Workplace function composite roles reduces the user administration to the assignment of composite roles to users.

A composite role, which determines the work place user menu, is assigned to the user on the workplace server. Composite roles are maintained centrally in the workplace server. A composite role refers to roles in various systems. As the roles already contain all system-dependent information, it is no longer necessary to manage this information in the user administration. The Global User Manager for the workplace analyzes this information automatically.

To call the Global User Manager workplace mode, choose the transaction SUUM and then Extras → Workplace mode on/off in the central system.
