Construction Progress Report and Valuation of Semifinished Constructions

Use

As of SAP R/3 Enterprise Extension 2.0 (EA_APPL200)you can use the Construction Progress Report (PS-REV-CPR)component to enter construction progress reports for WBS elements and based on these carry out valuation of semifinished constructions. These functions are particulary of interest to Project Risk Management in construction and plant contracting.

  • In the construction progress report you enter values for work completed within certain periods in the project, update the contract values and plan the anticipated remaining costs and revenues (remaining plan).
  • Using the valuation of semifinished constructions, you can calculate inventories and reserves for imminent loss for the balance sheet based on the figures in the construction progress report and remaining plan.

The construction progress report provides you with the following functions:

  • You can enter the work values, contract values, planned costs and planned revenues in various currencies.
  • You enter these values for each cost element. Account assignments are made to WBS elements.
  • The data is updated in Controlling (CO):
  • Work values are updated as statistical actual revenues.

  • Contract values are updated as planned revenues.

  • Revenues from the remaining plan are updated as planned revenues and costs from the remaining plan are updated as planned costs.

  • By using templates, high flexibility is guaranteed with regard to the entry screen and display screen for the construction progress report and remaining plan.
  • RFC interfaces and Business-Add-Ins (BadIs) enable you to adjust the application to suit customer-specific requirements. For example, you can create personal entry, processing and display screens, group data flexibly and make changes to data.

The valuation provides the following functions:

  • For the valuation you use the results analysis transactions. The valuation is carried out for the project's billing elements which have results analysis key indicators.
  • You can use different valuation procedures for a WBS element and update the valuation in various versions. In the standard system the following valuation procedures are carried out
  • Valuation in line with the German Commercial Code

  • Valuation in line with the International Accounting Standard (IAS)
