Extension of the asset class concept

Description

In Release 3.0, it is possible to specify certain fields as dependent on the chart of depreciation. This applies to fields in the general section of the asset class master. The most essential control fields in the asset class remain as before, and cannot be specified as dependent on the chart of accounts (for example, management of open items).

The fields that can be specified as dependent on a chart of accounts are:

• screen layout rule

• evaluation group specifications

• account allocation

• property classification key

• insurance type and index

The function is offered during maintenance of the asset class, as long as there is more than one active chart of accounts (under Extras).
