Tab Pages and Tab Layout Rules for the Asset Master Record

Description

In Release 4.5A, tab pages are now used for representing the asset master data in asset master data transactions (AS01, AS02, AS03). The data that was on the various screens of the asset master reccord is now divided up on tab pages (tabs).

You control the number and tab layout of the tabs using tab layout rules that you can specify for each asset class. If necessary, you can also define exceptions to the tab layout rule within the asset class, at the chart of depreciation level.

Note

The former master data transactions that do not use tabs are still available. However, they are no longer in the Asset Accounting menu (you call them using OK codes).

Please be aware, however, that the former transactions have new transaction codes starting in 4.5A:

• AS01 -> AT01

• AS02 -> AT02

• AS03 -> AT03

If you use batch input procedures that you developed yourself, you have to modify them accordingly.
