Generation of Pedigree Notifications (New)

Use

As of SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII) 4.0 SP03, you can generate pedigree notifications. These XML messages contain information that can be used by third-party vendors to create pedigrees that satisfy state legal requirements.

To enable the generation of pedigree notifications, SAP AII provides the following integration processes that retrieve and transform data from different sources and provide pedigree notification messages:

  • PedigreeNotificationCreation
This integration process generates pedigree notifications by using advanced shipping notifications (ASN) that have been enriched with observed IDs.
  • PedigreeNotificationWithoutElectronicLabel
This integration process generates pedigree notifications by directly using advanced shipping notifications (ASN) that are sent by ERP systems. The resulting pedigree notification message does not contain observed IDs.

SAP AII also provides the message interface PedigreeFeedbackOut. Third-party vendors can use this message interface to send feedback messages to the XI system if errors or difficulties occur when creating pedigrees.

You can find the XI content in the Integration Repository in the software component AUTO-ID in the namespace http://sap.com/xi/AIN.
