Auto-ID Core Services (New)

Use

As of SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure 4.0 SP03, you can use core services to flexibly adapt SAP AII to your business needs. You can use services to do the following:

  • Develop new activities
  • Develop new user interfaces
  • Develop new application-to-application (A2A) interfaces or enhance existing ones

The following services are available:

  • Services for business object Business Transaction Document(function group /AIN/PUB_BTD)
  • Services for business object Observation(function group /AIN/PUB_OBS)
  • Services for business object Physical Object (function group /AIN/PUB_POBJ)
  • Product services (function group /AIN/PUB_PROD)
  • Location services (function group /AIN/PUB_LOC)
  • Device services (function group /AIN/PUB_DEV)
  • ID conversion services (function group /AIN/PUB_IDCONV)
  • Device communication services (function group /AIN/PUB_DEVCOM)
  • Basic services (function group /AIN/PUB_BASIC)

For more information, see the SAP AII system documentation for the RFC function modules that are contained in the function groups mentioned above.

To illustrate possible uses for core services, SAP AII provides the following examples:

  • Mobile user interface (UI) for packing
  • Desktop UIs for loading and tag commissioning
