APO-ATP-RBA: Initial Location Determination for CRM

Use

As of Release 3.0A (First Customer Shipment and Support Package 1) you can create, in Integrated Rule Maintenance, location determination procedures of type 3 (LIST), that are used for the initial location determination for CRM.

You may not use the procedure type LIST in substitutions. It is used currently for location determination if no location is transferred from the linked system (for example a CRM system).

Note that as of Release 3.0A (FCS+SP1) you can call Integrated Rule Maintenance in SAP Easy Access under Master Data Rule Maintenance Integrated Rule Maintenance.

Effects on Customizing

  1. As previously, you make all relevant settings in the condition technique in Customizing for Global ATP via Rules-based Availability Check.
The process step Assign Rule Strategy does not apply here.
  1. For initial location determination you create a rule that contains a location determination procedure of type 3. You enter the locations there that are not transferred from the linked system.
As of Release 3.0A (FCS+SP1) make the settings for Integrated Rule Maintenance and Rule Determination in SAP Easy Access under Master Data Rule Maintenance.
  1. Enter the strategy that you created in the condition technique (see point 1) in the requirement profile.
You maintain the requirement profile in Customizing for the global availability check via General Settings Maintain Requirement Profile. Note that the activation parameters that you can enter in the requirement profile are planned for the execution of rules-based ATP when there is an under-confirmation (substitution rule). In the case of initial location determination no activation parameters are necessary (see point 1).
  1. In CRM, as in the requirement profile, you must maintain the ATP profile. It must contain the same key.
  • -,,You maintain the ATP profile in CRM Customizing under Basic Functions APO Interface Define ATP Profile.

  • -,,You assign the ATP profile to the item type under Basic Functions APO Interface Assign ATP Profile to item category.
