APO-OPT-PPS: Total Lead Time for the Follow-Up Optimization

Use

Up until now, you could specify by using the indicator Backward scheduling in the optimization profile on the tab page Additional strategies, that the system should execute a follow-up optimization when the actual optimization is completed. During the follow-up optimization, the system tries to schedule the operations that were scheduled too early as close as possible to the requirement dates; that is, it executes a form of backward scheduling.

As of Release 3.0A, you can specify on the tab page Additional strategies in the optimization profile that the total lead time achieved during the optimization should not be increased during the follow-up optimization. (The total lead time is the time difference between the start of the first activity in the optimization horizon and the end of the last activity in the optimization horizon).
