Plan Monitor: Key Figure Profile
Scope of Functions
The Plan Monitor evaluates the real-time status of a plan for a given time period and assigns scores to the results. The results can be displayed either in a table or a configurable graph. Use the key figure profile to define what should be evaluated. In this profile, you:
- Select the key figures and characteristics you want to evaluate
- Define formulas for further key figure evaluation
- Select ranges and formulas for defining scores
- Combine scores of different key figures to define an overall quality indicator
There are three types of key figure profiles:
·,,Simple display allows you to view a list of the evaluation results. You can also compare the current evaluation results with up to nine previous evaluation runs. The results are displayed in columns. The previous results can be used in the planning board in order to trace the effects of different planning stages on the quality of the plan. Simple display is the default profile type.
·,,Version comparison allows you to compare different planning versions or different simulation runs of a planning version. Results are displayed in columns. If you choose this profile type and do not specify a planning version in the key figure profile, when the Plan Monitor is called from an application, the system compares the current transactional simulation version with the original plan.
·,,Time comparison allows you to evaluate planning results for different time intervals within one planning version, for example, if you only want to evaluate the figures for the second and third weeks of a one-month plan. This profile type allows you to compare the plan quality for several weeks in a row.
The following setting options are available:
·,,Profile type
·,,Evaluation history of results of up to nine previous runs
·,,Display format (graph, grid or a combination of both) You can further configure the graphical display with a right mouse click on the actual graphic in the Plan Monitor display. A context menu offers a variety of chart sets to choose from such as bar or pie charts, as well as a 3D display option.
·,,Choice of key figures and / or key figure variants. A key figure variant is a key figure together with its characteristics (planning version, time period, resource, and location product). A list of available key figures is included at the end of this document.
·,,Definition of user-specific formulas and / or formula variants.
·,,Aggregation mode which defines how a variant should be calculated. This mode distinguishes between key figure and formula variants.
·,,Show / hide options for variants
·,,Definition of application data usage. The key figure profile allows you to determine whether the planning version, time period and object definition of the current application should be used for the evaluation. This setting is especially important for stand-alone use of the Plan Monitor.
·,,Time horizon for evaluation
Effects on Customizing
There is no additional Customizing required for the Plan Monitor.
