APO-PPS-PCM: New Functions in Campaign Planning

Use

As of Release 3.0A (First Customer Shipment and Support Package 1), new functions are available for planning and editing production campaigns:

• New campaign maintenance transaction
  You can now edit production campaigns not only on the DS planning board, but also in a specific transaction (under Interactive Production Planning ). In both cases:

• New items (orders) can be added to a campaign

• Items can be removed from a campaign

• Items can be modified (order changes)

• Improved display of campaigns on the DS planning board
  On the planning board, the campaign is outlined in a specific color in the resource chart. The orders belonging to the campaign are displayed in the same color.

• New object campaign profile for campaign optimization
  In Customizing for production planning and detailed scheduling, you can define campaign profiles that are used to generate production campaigns when using the campaign optimizer. In a campaign profile, you enter the maximum amount of charges (orders) the production campaign you are creatíng may contain and whether a setup or cleanout order is to be added at the beginning or end of this campaign.
