APO-PPS-PRE: Chart Settings

Use

As of Release 3.0A (First Customer Shipment and Support Package 1), the following new and changed settings and functions are available for the charts in the Detailed Scheduling planning board:

Changing the time zone

You can change the time zone in the DS planning board by choosing Settings. The time zone you set in your user master record is displayed as a default.

Presetting the time bucket for the DS planning board

Up until now you could only set the time bucket (that is, the scale for the diagram section of the chart in the DS planning board) interactively in the DS planning board.

As of Release 3.0A (FCS + SP1), you can preset the time bucket in the detail screen of the planning board profile.

Adjusting the chart height

You can set the same height for the charts that are visible on the screen by choosing in the DS planning board Settings -> View -> Adjust charts.

Formatting the table section of a chart

You can no longer interactively change the settings for formatting the table section (fonts, colors, etc.) in the DS planning board.

Background color for the column header

The Background color field on the tab page Column header in Customizing for the charts in the DS planning board no longer exists. The background color for the column header cannot be set.

Context menus

A context menu contains context-specific functions; it is called up by clicking on an object with the right mouse button. In Release 3.0A, the existing context menus have been extended and the following new context menus have been implemented:

• Context menus for the objects in the table section and in the diagram section

In these context menus, you can call up the functions that can be used for the corresponding objects (operations, orders, products or resources); for example resource maintenance for the resource.

If you want to call up, for example, the context menu for a resource, you click on the desired resource row in the table section of the resource chart. If you want to call up the context menu for an order, click on either the corresponding order row in the table section of an order screen or on the graphical representation of the order in the diagram section.

Using this context menu, you can, for example, call up the sort function for the rows of the chart. To call up the context menu for a chart, click on the title row of the chart using the right mouse button.
