APO-PPS-OPT: Processing existing campaigns

Use

Up until now, existing campaigns were retained during campaign optimization.

As of Release 3.0A (Support Package 3), you can specify how the system handles existing campaigns when optimizing. You have the following options:

  • Delete campaign
The system deletes the campaign before the optimization and creates new campaigns during optimization.
  • Retain campaign
The system is allowed to shift the existing campaings on a time scale, but no other changes are allowed.
The system is not allowed to do the following:
  • Remove orders from the campaigns

  • Add orders to the campaigns

  • Reschedule campaigns to alternative bottleneck resources

  • Extend campaign
The system is allowed to add orders to existing campaings and to shift the campaigns on a time scale.
The system is not allowed to:
  • Remove orders from the campaigns

  • Reschedule campaigns to alternative bottleneck resources

You enter the corresponding settings in the optimization profile or when calling up the optimization in the Existing campaign field on the tab page Additional strategies.

The default setting is retain.
