APO-PPS-OPT: Settings for Pre-Scheduling in the Optimization Run

Use

Until now you could define in the optimization profile or on the Further settings tab whether or not the system performs pre-scheduling before the actual optimization. During pre-scheduling the system tries to restrict the scheduling dates for the activities in order to speed up the determination of a first feasible solution (initial solution) during optimization. The initial solution then serves as a starting point for further optimization.

As of Release 3.0A (First Customer Shipment and Support Package 4), the system always performs pre-scheduling. Therefore, the indicators Finite pre-scheduling and Infinite pre-scheduling no longer appear on the tab Further settings.
