Batch selection in the sales order for CDP (new)

Use

If selection criteria for batch selection are maintained for the sales order item, they can be transferred from SAP R/3 into SAP APO and be defined there as characteristic requirements or characteristic value assignments. Simple value assignments, either value sets or an interval for numeric characteristics, are also supported here.

The configuration from SAP R/3 is generally used for characteristic requirements and characteristic value assignments in characteristics- dependent planning (CDP). If you prefer to use selection criteria for batch selection instead of the configuration, make this setting in the /sapapo/tmc01xvr table in SAP APO. You can make this setting client-wide (without specifying a class) or per class (Derive value assignments from requirements). In the latter case, SAP R/3 derives the characteristic value assignments from the batch selection. Multiple values/intervals are therefore reduced to a single value. For multiple values, SAP R/3 chooses just one of the values, and for intervals, SAP R/3 calculates the arithmetic average.

For the Mix value assignments and requirements setting in the table mentioned above, you need a customer-specific enhancement to ensure that the characteristic values for the configuration in the value area of the selection criteria for batch selection are contained in SAP R/3.

The minimum requirement for transferring selection criteria for batch selection is the R/3 plug-in 2001.2 for R/3 4.6B and 4.6C. Ensure you have selected Classes/Characteristics in the integration model, and that you have set CDP as the class and characteristic system in SAP APO.
