Restriction Maintenance in Model Mix Planning (Changed)

Use

The restriction maintenance was change in APO 3.10. The transaction Display Restrictions was deleted.

If you have already maintained restrictions using APO 3.0A, then you have to execute the report /SAPAPO/ADD_SAP_ORIGINAL_LINES before you access the restriction maintenance in APO 3.10. If you have not worked with restrictions up to now then you do not have to execute this report.

Pay attention to the following significant changes:

• Up until now, you had to assign a restriction to a restriction group. From APO 3.10, you only have to assign a restriction to a line. However, you can still also assign restrictions to restriction groups so that they can be grouped according to certain criteria. For example, all restrictions which affect final assembly may be grouped in the restriction group final assembly.

• Moreover, in APO 3.10, you can assign authorizations to the restriction groups. This may make sense if you want to ensure that only certain users have authorization to maintain certain restriction groups.

• Now, you can also maintain several restriction groups with the same period of validity which are assigned to the same production line.

• You no longer have to specify a minimum when maintaining the attributes of the quantity and the K-in-M restrictions. In this release, you now only define maximum values for these restriction categories.

• You no longer maintain a maximum value when maintaining the attributes of the spacing restrictions. Now, you can only define minimum values for spacing restrictions.

With regard to Restriction Maintenance, Customizing for Model Mix Planning has been enhanced with the IMG activity Creating Authorization Groups for Restriction Maintenance.
