ATP Check for Planned Orders in Repetitive Manufacturing (New)

Use

If you work with repetitive manufacturing and you want to use product interchangeability, you have to execute an ATP check for the planned orders with interchangeable components at the end of the planning phase before the planned orders of the finished product to be produced are transferred to production. Here, the ATP check is a prerequisite for the other steps in the production process of repetitive manufacturing. Product substitution in the planned orders is only possible using the ATP check. That is, without the ATP check the planned order contains no (when planning with the planning matrix) components or components that are no longer valid as the substitution data was not taken into account.

In the ATP check, the stocks/receipts of the components are checked that were determined by the planning matrix or by an individual explosion of the iPPE or the PPM. In addition, the stocks and receipts of the successor product are checked.

When planning with the planning matrix, the system uses the ATP check to create the components in the order of the finished product as, initially, the orders do not contain any components. Here, the system executes the product substitution in the order. That is, the system copies the necessary components (the component to be discontinued and the successor, if necessary) to the order. The split of the requirements quantities is carried out according to the ATP situation based on the stocks and receipts as defined in the ATP scope. The ATP check fixes the confirmed components in the planned order of the RPM product. This fixing is irreversible.

For planned orders that were planned in an individual explosion, only a split of the requirements quantities is executed as these orders already contain the components (input nodes).

Another ATP check executed later updates the substitution data in the order, if necessary.

For product substitution, you have to execute the ATP check for a lot of planned orders in repetitive manufacturing. For this purpose, you can use the report ATP check for planned orders in repetitive manufacturing. (Transaction /SAPAPO/RRP8). Note that the report should only be used in the context of product interchangeability.
