Selection of Planned Orders (Extended)

Use

As of SAP APO 4.0, the following enhancements are available for the selection in planned order management:

  • Selection rules
To make more selection criteria available, selection rules are available on the selection screen.
  • Characteristic filter
To further restrict the result quantity of the selection, a characteristic filter is available on the selection screen. You can create and save characteristic filters from the selection screen. When you save, you can specify whether the characteristic filter can be used user-specific or cross-user. Furthermore, you can define language-dependent descriptions for characteristic filters.

  • If you want selection rules to be available on the selection screen, you first have to implement these rules in Customizing for Planned Order Management under Business Add-Ins (BAdI) -> Define Selection Rules.
  • Two versions of the dependency editor are available for creating and editing the characteristic filter.
  • The simple dependency editor is based on the input of logical expressions that correspond to SAP syntax.

  • Using the enhanced dependency editor, you can define individual customer syntax.

The use of the enhanced dependency editor is dependent on the settings that you make in Customizing for iPPE. If you have activated the enhanced dependency editor and created your own schema, then you can use this editor for the characteristic filter.
