Global ATP: General Enhancements

Scope of Functions

  • Terminology changes
The availability check (ATP check) is the generic term for the following basic methods:
  • product availability check

  • product allocations as a form of the check against plans

  • forecast check

Delta records are referred to as temporary quantity assignments.
  • Global settings
You can now protect the system from imported Customizing data, which is transferred from the connected OLTP system using the CIF integration model.
You no longer configure the availability check using temporary quantity assignments in the ATP group. Instead, choose Global ATP -> Settings -> General -> Global settings.
  • Switch off availability check
You can switch off the availability check by setting all basic methods to no check in the checking instructions. The switch off availability check indicator was deleted from the ATP group.
  • Production
You can now configure the production and the production times in the checking instructions. You determine the production type in the check mode.
  • Remaining requirements
In the checking instructions, you can now determine if, and when yes, for which substitutions in the rules-based availability check, an unconfirmed quantity should be created as a requirement.
  • Terminating using /n
If you terminate the transaction in the OLTP system using /n, the temporary quantity assignments, excluding the temporary objects from PP/DS (for example, planned orders), are automatically deleted.
  • 100% strategy
You can now process the check of so-called 100% alternatives from Production Planning (PP) in the APO availability check.
  • Authorization
In the global availability check you can now protect selected functionality by authorization checks. Three activity groups were defined. Each activity group can be assigned to a standard user (essentially authorization to display), an expert (essentially with all authorizations, excluding the authorization for Customizing)and a super user (authorizations for all functionality).
The authorization object for Global ATP is C_APO_ATP.
