BAPIs: New Functions and Changes

Scope of Functions

New Methods

  • ProductAPS (BUS10001)
  • DeleteProductMultiple(new): This method can be used for the complete deletion of one or more products.

  • DeleteLocationProductMultiple (new): This method can be used for the deletion of one or more location products.

  • LocationAPS (BUS10002)
  • DeleteMultiple (new): This method can be used for the complete deletion of one or more locations.

  • ProductProcessModelAPS (BUS10003)
  • DeletePlanMultiple (new): This method can be used for the deletion of complete plans with all items and schedule lines (operations, activities, etc).

  • DeletePPMMultiple (new): This method can be used for the complete deletion of one or more Production Process Models.

  • ResourceAPS (BUS10004)
  • BlockSetStatus (new): This method can be used to fix blocks in a certain resource.

  • GetBlocks (new): This method can be used to select blocks and their characteristic attributes (block basis definition) from certain resources.

  • ManufacturingOrderAPS (BUS 10503)
  • ConfirmOperations (new): This method can be used to confirm production order operations.

  • ConfirmOrders (new): This method can be used to confirm production orders.

  • StockAPS (BUS 10504)
  • GetList (new): This method can be used to read stocks for certain selection criteria.

Changed Methods

  • ProductAPS (BUS10001)
  • SaveMultiple (new fields): This method can be used to create and change products and partial objects (for example, short texts or alternative units of measure).

  • LocationAPS (BUS10002)
  • SaveMultiple (new fields): This method can be used to create or change location data and location short texts.

  • ProductProcessModelAPS (BUS10003)
  • SaveMultiple (new fields and structures): This method can be used to create, change or extend production process models and plans.

  • ResourceAPS (BUS10004)
  • SaveMultiple (partly changed)

  • GetCapacityProfile (partly changed)

  • GetLoad (partly changed)

  • SalesOrderAPS (BUS10501)
  • Methods partly changed

  • GUID included as a key in the methods.

  • ProcurementOrderAPS (BUS 10502)
  • Methods partly changed.

  • GUID included as a key in the methods.

  • GetList (new selection criteria): The method now returns procurement orders that were created in APO.

  • CompleteKeys (new): Supplement to keys for procurement orders created in APO.

  • SaveMultiple: It is possible to create orders with an internal number assignment.

  • ManufacturingOrderAPS (BUS 10503): Methods partly changed.
  • GUID included as a key in the methods.

  • GetList (new selection criteria): The method now also returns production orders that were created in APO.

  • CompleteKeys: New: Supplement to keys for production orders created in APO.

  • SaveMultiple: It is possible to create orders with an internal number assignment.

  • CreateFromOrderRequest (obsolete): Use CompleteKeys for the relevant BusinessObject.

  • OrderRequestAPS (BUS 10505): Methods partly changed
  • GUID included as key in the methods.

  • In future, the methods of this object will probably be partly or completely obsolete. The functionality of this business object will be shared among other business objects. If possible, use the appropriate methods from other business objects.

  • GetList: Instead of this method, you should use the method GetList from the appropriate business object to read procurement and production orders.

  • SaveMultiple: Instead of this method, you should use the method SaveMultiple from the appropriate business object to change procurement and production orders.

Attention:Please note that even for those objects not executed can have had new fields added or could have been partly changed or deleted. In individual cases, you should check the relevant methods/ message types for changes before upgrading from APO 1.1 to APO 2.0A.

Further Information

Please note that business object BUS1088 (Characteristics) is not yet supported in APO 2.0A. The business object must not be confused with the characteristics that already exist in Master Data maintenance since Release 1.1. The characteristics from Master Data maintenance cannot be maintained using business object BUS1088, as this is a different object.
