Master Data: Authorization Concept

Scope of Functions

With effect from Release 2.0A, APO offers an authorization concept that defines user groups and user access to the different areas of Master Data.

For an overview of the different Master Data users, choose Tools → Administration → UserMaintenance → Activity Groups (User Roles) in the initial menu.

Three user types have been defined for the area of Master Data: Standard User, Expert,Superuser.

There are authorizations for the following Master Data areas:

  • Location
  • Product
  • Production Process Model (PPM)
  • Plan in PPM
  • Resource
  • Supply Chain Model
  • Planning Version
  • Definitions (Resource Master)

There are also authorizations for the Supply Chain Model and the Planning Version. See the Release Note Supply Chain Cockpit: Enhancements for further information.
