PP/DS: New evaluations in the DS planning board
Scope of Functions
In the detailed scheduling planning board (DS planning board, DS= detailed scheduling) the following new evaluations are available in Release 2.0 under Extras.
Work-In-Process-Stocks(WIP)
Work-In-Process-Stocks are stocks of unfinished products, which are waiting for further processing. The quantity of a product waiting for further processing and the waiting time are statistics for assessing the scheduling quality with regard to order lead times and costs. For WIP there are two evaluations available, in which WIP product quantities and waiting times are combined within an order and between various orders for the operations in selected resources. The sum of WIP waiting times within the display period is displayed as a key figure in the scheduling quality window.
Scheduling quality
In the planning quality window the following figures are displayed for the schedule within the display period:
- sum of set-up times
- sum of production times
- sum of WIP waiting times
- sum of order lead times
- Maximum order lead time
- Average resource load
Resource load per period
The resource load list shows how much capacity specific resources have, in the periods of the display period. The resource load display is possible for the following resources:
- Single-activity resources and single-mix resources
- Multi-activity resources and multi-mix resources
