PP/DS: Graphical Representation of Objects and Planning Information
Scope of Functions
Legend
You can show a legend in the detailed scheduling planning board with Extras -> Legend. In the legend the meaning of the various row formats and graphic objects (acitivities, operations, orders) is explained.
Changing the display of graphic objects
In the legend you have the following options for the graphic objects:
- You can change the color (if you use a line or a rectangle to display the graphic object).
- You can select another symbol (if you use a symbol to display the graphic object).
The settings changed are displayed in the legend immediately. If you save the changed settings in the legend, the changes are transferred into the DS planning board profile. On exiting the legend you can also immediately transfer the changes to the planning board.
Status-dependent display of operations and activities
You can display operations and orders dependent of your status. In this way you can display confirmed operations in a different way to those which have not been confirmed. You make the corresponding settings in the DS planning board profile in Customizing for Production planning and detailed scheduling. In the following table, the settings in the standard planning table profiles SAP001 and SAP003 are combined:
_______________________________________________________________________
Operation | Display |
_______________________________________________________________________
scheduled | |
-setup activity | green bar |
-processing activity | blue bar |
_______________________________________________________________________
deallocated (SAP001) | |
-setup activity | green bar with yellow strips |
-processing activity | blue bar with yellow strips |
In the resource chart | |
both scheduled and deallocated operations are
displayed. | |
_______________________________________________________________________
deallocated (SAP003) | |
-setup activity | green bar |
-processing activity | blue bar |
There are two resource charts
for scheduled and deallocated operations.
________________________________________________________________________
fixed | green/blue bar with |
red stripes | |
________________________________________________________________________
partially confirmed | light green bar |
red stripes | |
________________________________________________________________________
finally confirmed | dark green bar |
_______________________________________________________________________
The meaning of the various displays for operations in the planning table can be found in the legend.
Multiple loading
Overlapping graphic objects are underlined in red in the planning board, for example, operations, which are scheduled simultaneously for a resource.
Resource overload
You can set, in the planning board, in which color the resource overload is to be displayed in the resource overload diagram. In the SAP standard profile, red is set.
Blocks
In the resources chart of the planning board you can show blocks for a selected resource via Extras -> Blocks. That is to say the time segments, in which the resource is reserved for manufacturing products with specific characteristics. Various blocks are displayed with the following colors: GREEN_3, RED_2, BLUE_6, YELLOW_3, ORCHID_3, BROWN_2, RED_6.
Double-clicking on a block takes you to the block maintenance and here you can process the blocks. If you change a block, you can reschedule operations in the planning board, which are affected by changing the blocks, using the function Reschedule.
