Production Backflushing: Backflushing Production Activities

Use

As of this release, you can backflush production activities. You can use this to determine the complete costs for the manufacturing of a product.

Process for posting activities:

  • To post production activities, you require the activity master data (modi/resources) from the Integrated Produkt and Process Engineering (iPPE). When determining the costs in CO, the system uses the times that are maintained in the mode from the iPPE. The resource data that is relevant for Controlling (cost center/ activity types/business process) is maintained in the R/3 System.
  • If you work with the Rapid Planning Matrix, the system uses the activity matrix in the same way as the component variant matrix to determine the activities to be executed when planning and when you enter the backflush for each order. The mode for the selected activities shows the duration and the resource used.
  • Without the Rapid Planning Matrix, the system determines the activities from the iPPE. After the data entered in the R/3 is transferred to the APO, the system calculates the activities in CO and posts them as an internal activity allocation. The system posts the activities asynchronously only.
  • You can also use postprocessing for the activities. You can display records with errors in a list, change them, post them again or delete them.
