Service Procurement and Goods Receipt

Use

As of Ariba Network Integration 1.0 SP04 for SAP Business Suite, several additional processes and functions in SAP ERP have been integrated with Ariba Network. The following is now supported:

Service Procurement / Service Invoicing

The integration of Service Procurement (known as "Service Invoicing" on Ariba Network) has now been enabled. You can transmit the item type "service" ("D") in SAP ERP purchase orders to Ariba Network. This includes the transmission both of service lines and limits for unplanned services. The process runs as follows:

  1. A purchase order is created in SAP ERP.
  2. Based on this purchase order, suppliers create a service entry sheet on Ariba Network.
  3. Based on this, a service entry sheet is created in SAP ERP, where it can be approved or rejected.
  4. The corresponding approval status is submitted to Ariba Network.
  5. Once the service entry sheet has been approved, suppliers can create invoices for the services.
  6. Based on these invoices, MM invoices are created in SAP ERP.

Note:

  • The integration of Service Procurement / Service Invoicing is currently only supported as of SAP ERP 6.0 EhP4.
  • Ariba Network does not support service hierarchies, that is, services consisting of more than one hierarchy level. Such purchase orders cannot be transferred.

Goods Receipt

For material items, goods receipt documents that are created in SAP ERP can now be transferred to Ariba Network. There, the quantity posted in SAP ERP is displayed in the purchase order, and the status of the purchase order item changes to Partially Received or Received.
