Enhancement in SP06: Scheduling Agreement Releases

Use

As of SP06 of SAP ERP connectivity with Ariba Network, the transfer of scheduling agreement releases to the Ariba Network is supported.

Scheduling agreements are long-term agreements between buyers and suppliers. With scheduling agreement releases, buyers can request delivery of part of the total quantity of materials stipulated in a scheduling agreement. Within the same document, they can provide a forecast of future delivery requests. By sending a scheduling agreement release, buyers send their suppliers an updated snapshot of a delivery schedule for the next few weeks or months. This allows suppliers to plan their production according to the requirements of the buyers.

When a scheduling agreement release is created in SAP ERP, a cXML message of the type "OrderRequest" is transferred to the Ariba Network, where suppliers receive an update to their scheduling agreement.

Follow-on processes are supported as follows:

  • Ship notices can be sent from the supplier on the Ariba Network to the buyer.
  • Invoices can currently only be created in SAP ERP as CC invoices. This applies to MM invoices (manual invoices or invoices based on evaluated receipt settlement, ERS) and to FI invoices.

Related cXML Message Type

  • OrderRequest (message type ORDR)
This message is sent from SAP ERP to Ariba Network.
