External Validity of Limits (New)
Use
From SAP R/3 Enterprise Financial Services 2.00 (EA-FINSERV 200), you are able to specify the external validity of limits, in addition to their internal validity. Since the Limit Amount and Validity parameters are independent, you can enter an external validity for the limit without having to enter an external limit amount.
Effects on Existing Data
The traffic light display in the overview screen for current limit utilizations (in the Overview of Limit Utilizations application) is set to yellow if today's date falls within the time period between the internal and external validity periods. Since the Limit Amount and Validity parameters are independent, the traffic light is set to yellow in the following cases:
- When the external limit has expired, but the external limit amount has not been exceeded
- When the external limit amount has been exceeded, but the limit has not yet expired (external validity period has not yet passed)
- When the external validity has expired (validity period has passed) and the external limit amount has been exceeded
