Extending the Portfolio Hierarchy (New)

Use

From SAP R/3 Enterprise Financial Services 2.00 (EA-FINSERV 200), you can extend activated portfolio hierarchies. You can extend them even if related master data and flow data exists (data in a final results procedure on the result database, or data in the report data memory).

You can add new characteristics at the lowest level of the portfolio hierarchy.
However, you cannot delete characteristics, or change the sequence of the characteristics in the hierarchy.

When portfolio hierarchies are updated, the system now takes into account any new nodes in the characteristic hierarchy.
However, it is still not possible to change or delete existing nodes from the characteristics hierarchy. Any such changes are ignored by the system when the portfolio hierarchy is updated. In this case, the portfolio hierarchy has the status portfolio hierarchy with alternative tree structure.
