Number of Messages in the Application Log

Description

To improve both system performance for the saving of the application log for account balancing and the overview of the log, in release 4.02 A the number of messages in the application log has been reduced.

In future, the messages written in the log are those recording something unusual (for example, old period must be recalculated due to 'Posting in former account' or 'Value date in the past'). The errors will, of course, still be recorded in the log.

Frequently output messages (for example, conditions, value date balances, calculation results) will in future be set in the spool. You can select yourself, which information is to be output and which not.

Every account balancing report has the following parameters:

  • Conditions
  • Balances (calculation bases)
  • Calculation results
  • Total calculation results
  • Interest income tax transfer

Changes to the Interface

By choosing

  • Periodic tasks-> Account balancing-> New run
  • Periodic tasks-> Account balancing-> Restart
  • Periodic tasks-> Account balancing-> Early balancing
  • Periodic tasks-> General ledger-> Interest accrual/deferral

you find under single run and mass run the individual account balancing reports in which you can select the parameters mentioned above.

Changes in procedure

  1. Choose one of the balancing reports you want.
  2. Choose one or several parameters.

The messages you want are now written in the spool. If you have not selected any parameters, you do not get a spool output.

To find the spool, choose Tools-> CCMS-> Spool.

You can make a user-specific spool output setting by choosing System-> Services-> Own data; ensure that you do not select the parameter 'output immediately' as this could lead to enormous amounts of paper being printed.
