Start of Interest Calculation After Legacy Data Transfer

Description

In normal circumstances, account balancing for the 1st period starts with the account opening date. Exceptions to this are value dates in the past before account opening date, as in this case, interest caclulation starts with the oldest value date.

As of release 4.02 A, the following rule applies:

If the balance transfer date is after the account opening date, interest calculation of the 1st period starts with the balance transfer date.

• Example:

Account opening: 07/20/1985

Balance transfer date: 09/30/1998

Go-live date: 10/01/1998

Interest calculation starts on 09/30/1998 and not on 07/20/1985.
