Reference Account Inactive

Description

If the reference account is inactive, no balancing can take place on it.

Damage caused to data by errors

If the reference account contains errors or is inactive, the account that refers to it is balanced, but the posting to the reference account is transferred to post processing. From there, the posting can be passed on to the referene account, provided this is active, once the error has been corrected.

Changes in procedure

• If you want to create an inactive account as reference account, an error message appears.

• If an account is the reference account of another account and you want to set it from active to inactive, you also receive an error message.
