Short text

New Interest Calculation Methods act/actP and act/actY for Release F4.02

Description

Release F4.02 introduces two new interest calculation methods:
'act/actP' and 'act/actY'

The DAY BASE methods have the following meanings:

  • 'actP'
The 'P' stands for 'Period' and indicates that the actual number of days in a period are used in the calculation. In this process, the number of days in the period are multiplied with the number of periods per year to give the total number of days in the year.
  • 'actY'
The 'Y' stands for 'Year' and indicates that the actual number of days in a calendar year - 366 days in a leap year, otherwise 365 - are used in the calculation. If a calculation period covers two calendar years and one of the years is a leap year, the calculation is done in two steps.
