Reactivating an Account

Description

When an account is closed, the system performs several checks before the account is finally closed. These include the check to see if standing orders still exist or if the account is used in account hierarchies. Additionally, an account balancing is executed and the balance brought to zero.

As of release 4.03, this function is provided to reactivate an account that is closed. Once it has been successfully reactivated, the account shows the status "New creation" and a balance of zero.

As part of this function, the system checks to see if standing orders existed previously and suggests these for re-creation. The system also checks if the account was included in an account hierarchy. This provides support if an account was closed by mistake and the relationship to the hierarchy is to be resumed.

Changes in procedure

Choose Account/Change-> Edit-> Reactivate account.
