Time Deposit Account Maintenance
Use
The Time Deposit Account Maintenance allows the user to enter all the details related to creating a Time Deposit on a consolidated "Fast Entry" screen (transaction BCA_US_TDA1). After entering the "Header" data, the user will see the "Fast Entry" screen where all the details can be entered. The user can then save the Time Deposit account or opt to go into the details of the account by clicking on the Details button. Doing so will bring the user into the standard BCA account maintenance screens. After the user enters all the additional information for the Time Deposit, the user can back out to the "Fast Entry" screen and save the account.
At this point, the system will automatically create the Individual Interest Condition (plus markup/markdown, if any), creates the Time Deposit account, posts the payment order for the account, changes the account to apply the Block Reason Code and print the certificate.
To view the Time Deposit Account details after it has been created, the transaction BCA_US_TDA3 can be used.
Effects on Existing Data
Time Deposit data has no impact on existing data. All Time Deposit specific data is stored separately in its own tables.
Effects on Data Transfer
The Time Deposit Maintenance has been integrated into core BCA utilizing the Business Data Toolset (BDT). Not only has the "Fast Entry" screen been incorporated into the screen flow of BCA, but the additional fields needed by Time Deposits have been added to the standard BCA Account Maintenance screens. The BDT will transfer all data from the "Fast Entry" screen to the standard BCA Account Maintenance screens.
Effects on System Administration
Effects on Customizing
In addition to the normal customizing needed for standard BCA, the following items will also need to be customized for Time Deposits:
- Create Product - Creation of the Time Deposit products will need to be done
- Payment Order Default - The default payment transaction type must be defined for Time Deposits
- Define Blocking Reasons - The Time Deposit specific blocking reason code must be defined
- Certificate Number Range - The Time Deposit certificate number range must be defined
- Interest condition BTE - The BTE for adjusting the Individual Interest Condition must be defined here once created
Before using the products defined for use with Time Deposits, the standard conditions related to the Time Deposits must be defined. This can be done using General Conditions -> Edit.
