Expiring Currencies (new)

Use

As of SAP R/3 Enterprise Financial Services 1.10 (EA-FINSERV 110), you can configure the system so that warning or error messages appear when objects in EMU-participant currencies are created or changed, such as a contract or collateral. As a result, you can ensure that objects can no longer be created or changed with expiring currencies at the end of or after the dual currency phase.

Make the following settings in the SAP Customizing Implementation Guide under General Settings → Currencies - > Expiring Currencies:

• Define Expiry Reason

You must enter at least one expiry reason.

• Define Expiring Currencies

You must define at least one expiring currency.

• Define Warning and Error Dates

You need to provide warning and error messages for the object types required.

• Special Authorization for Expiring Currencies

You can grant certain users special authorizations for expiring currencies for certain objects.
