Consumer Loans (New)

Use

As of SAP R/3 Enterprise Financial Services 2.00 (EA-FINSERV 200) you can also manage consumer loans in addition to mortgage loans within Loans Management. The special requirements of this type of loan are implemented in Loans Management with a process-oriented, automatic display of the entire lifecycle of a consumer loan.

Note

Consumer Loans will be implemented as part of an SAP pilot project. At present, Consumer Loans is not released for customers. If you are interested in using consumer loans, you should consult your account manager or sales contact person.

It is planned to offer Consumer Loans as a standard product within Loans Management for the next release.

The following functions are only available within the framework of consumer loans management:

• Configurable product profile

With the CML product profile you can define new products quickly, without having to make any Customizing settings, which enables you to respond flexibly to changing market requirements. You can only use the CML product profile for Consumer Loans.

• Fast entry screens for consumer loans

A fast entry screen with only three tab pages is available for you to create and change consumer loans.

Fields with pre-defined values considerably reduce the number of entries you have to make. Extensive plausibility checks and the SAP release workflow keep processing errors to a minimum.

• Handling of life insurance data

The handling of life insurance data for both one or more persons and for different insurance tariffs is integrated in loan processing as a whole.

• Model calculation

Model calculation enables you to calculate several loan variants, with different terms or installment amounts for example, from which the customer can choose.

• New business operations for consumer loans

The following new business operations are available for position management for consumer loans: Cancellation, notice given by the borrower, deferral, capitalization of overdue items and notice given by the lender. Deferral and facility extension functions have been realized for contract processing.

• New or extended interfaces

Consumer Loans offers interfaces to an acquisition system.

• Extended dunning and interest on arrears functions

• Extended authorization and release functions
