Capital Transfer (Extended)

Use

As of SAP ECC 5.0 Financial Services (EA-FS 500)you can now use the Capital Transferfunction in the Workplace for Business Operations to transfer value-dated capital as well as remaining capital, in the context of loan position management. You can determine for each product type which of the two transfer procedures the system is to use when you execute a capital transfer for a loan.

In addition to the value-dated capital you can also transfer the following capital amounts:

  • Scheduled (cleared) repayment
  • Unscheduled (cleared) repayment

The procedure for transferring value-dated capital ensures that the totals of the following capital amounts for source and target loan are identical in their original status before the capital transfer and after the capital transfer has been activated.

  • Value-dated capital
  • Remaining capital
  • Total scheduled repayment debit positions
  • Total unscheduled repayment debit positions
  • Total scheduled repayment incoming payments
  • Total unscheduled repayment incoming payments
  • Effective capital
  • Disbursement obligation
  • Current commitment capital
  • Current Contract capital

The constancy of the capital amounts is not only reflected in the capital amounts themselves but is also guaranteed for the standard calculation bases.

  • In the IMG activity Define Flow Types complete the flow types for the capital transfer as follows:
  • Add the flow types for value-dated capital, scheduled repayment and unscheduled repayment to the flow types for the capital transfer inflow.

  • Add the flow types for value-dated capital, scheduled repayment and unscheduled repayment to the flow types for the capital transfer outflow.

  • In the IMG activity Define Account Determination, in the Functions section define how the accounts for the respective flow type are determined for further processing.
  • In the IMG activity Define Condition Groups -> Assign Flow Types to Condition Groups per Application, assign each of the flow types that can be used to an application sub-function relevant for the capital transfer.
  • In the IMG activity Define Templates (in the Capital Transfer section) enter templates for the capital transfer and the transfer properties of the capital amounts for each company code and product type.
  • In the IMG activity Define General Control Data (in the Capital Transfer section) enter the general control data for the capital transfer.
Define for each product type whether the system is to transfer the remaining capital or the value-dated capital when the business operation is executed.
