Effects on Existing Data

Effects on Data Transfer

Effects on System Administration

To give notice in the system, the user has to have authorization for attribute B in the business operation category field for the authorization object FD_BO_BUK.

Effects on Customizing

Notice

To be able to use this function you need to have executed the following IMG activities in Customizing for Loans Management:

  • To use the notice function for a certain product type, you have activated this for the product type in the IMG activity Define Product Types.
  • To enable the system to process the flows for the notice correctly, you have defined the flow types, and the offsetting flow types for the flows used for notice in the IMG activity Define Flow Types.
  • You have assigned offsetting flows to the flow types under Assign Offsetting Flows, so that the system can clear the payoff amount.
  • In the IMG activity Define Account Determination (under Functions), you have defined the account determination for the flow types, for further processing of the amounts.
  • Under Define Condition Groups you have assigned the application subfunctions relevant for notice to each of the usable flow types in the subscreen Assign Flow Types to Condition Groups per Application.
You must assign the condition type used within the notice in the activity Assign Condition Types to Condition Groups per Application.
  • You have defined the cash flow behavior for each condition group of a condition type in the IMG activity Define Cash Flow Behavior.
  • In the IMG activity Define Templates (under Notice for Consumer Loans) you have defined the template for the notice.
  • In the IMG activity Define General Control Data (under Notice for Consumer Loans) you have determined the tab pages that will be available in the application.
  • You have defined an interim account for receivables in the IMG activity Define Interim Account for Receivables (under Notice for Consumer Loans).
  • In the activity Define Reasons for Notice (under Notice for Consumer Loans) you have defined the possible reasons for giving notice that the user can enter.
  • In the IMG activity Set Payment Block within Lock Management, you can determine a payment block for each company code and application function. The payment block prevents open items that have been reserved by the saving or activating of the Notice for Consumer Loans function from being cleared by the execution of other functions.

Release

If you want to use the release function within the notice function, you must make the appropriate settings for the notice in the activities Maintain Active Indicators, Define Release Status Parameters, and Maintain Workflow Settings in the Release section.

Correspondence

If you want to use the correspondence function within the notice function, you need to carry out the IMG activities under Correspondence with Correspondence Tool (SAP Smart Forms) in Customizing for Loans Management.

In the IMG activity Define External Flow Types, you need to replace the relevant flow types for notice, such as processing charges, with external flow types, and leave the field Report Category empty.

Further Information

You will find more information in the documentation for the individual IMG activities, and in the SAP Library by choosing Financials → SAP Banking → Loans Management → Position Management → Business Operations → Notice for Consumer Loans.
