Accrual/Deferral (Enhanced)

Use

As of SAP ECC Enterprise Extension Financial Services 6.0 (EA-FS 600) you can now use the difference procedure to accrue or defer the processing charge over the term of a loan for loans belonging to the category Consumer Loan (340), in the Accrual/Deferralfunction.

Effects on Existing Data

Do not change the accrual/deferral procedure from the resetto the difference procedurefor charge flows that have already been posted. If you want to use the difference procedure, you have to create new flow types for this purpose. For more information, see "Effects on Customizing".

Effects on Customizing

To use this function you need to have executed the following IMG activities in Customizing for Loans Management:

Create new flow types and accrual/deferral flow types in accordance with the sample Customizing for period-based and extraordinary accrual/deferral (clearing through premature capital outflow).
Assign the accrual/deferral flow types, the accrual/deferral procedure difference procedure, and the required accrual/deferral method to the flow types.
Set the following posting rules:
  • Charge flows to be accrued/deferred (difference procedure only)

Posting: Posting charge receivable to deferred income / accrued expenses
  • Periodic clearing

Posting: Deferred income / accrued expense to revenue
  • Extraordinary clearing

Posting: Deferred income / accrued expense to revenue or reimbursement to customers
