Add Odd Days Interest to First Scheduled Installment Payment (New)

Use

As of SAP ECC Enterprise Extension Financial Services 6.0 (EA-FS 600), in loans from the product category Consumer Loans (340) you can specify that odd days interest is due not on the due date according to the condition, but on the date of the first scheduled installment payment, and that the system only clears this interest on the payment date of the scheduled installment payment.

Note:
If you have also determined that the scheduled repayment only begins once the loan has been disbursed in full, the due date of the first installment is not known in loans with status Partially Disbursed, from the category Consumer Loan (340). Therefore, in this case the system treats the odd days interest as if it is due on an unknown date in the future and does not display a due date for this interest in the cash flow.

Example:

Payment of interest is shifted by one period:

Start of term for loan contract: 01/05
Full disbursement 01/06
Installment due date 15th of each month (01/15, 02/15, 03/15 and so on)
First due date: 01/15
First scheduled installment due date: 02/15
Calculation of odd days interest for the period: 01/07 - 01/15
Auto debit of odd days interest: 02/15 (for the period 01/07 - 01/15)
Auto debit of first scheduled installment: 02/15

Payment of interest is shifted by two periods:

Start of term for loan contract: 01/05
Full disbursement 01/06
Repayment suspended 1 month
Installment due date 15th of each month (02/15, 03/15, and so on)
First due date: 01/05
Calculation of odd days interest for the period: 01/07 - 01/15
Second due date 02/15
Calculation of odd days interest for the period: 01/16 - 02/15
First scheduled installment due date: 03/15
Auto debit of odd days interest: 03/15 (from first and second due date)
Auto debit of first scheduled installment: 03/15

Effects on Existing Data

Effects on Customizing

In the IMG activity Event Control, enter the value First Scheduled Repayment in the Event Flow field (Event Control Flow Record) for the interest condition.
