Flat-Rate Method According to Basel II (FIVA) (deleted)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension Financial Services, Enhancement Package 5 (EA-FS 605), Business Function SAP RBD: Business Operations in Reserve for Bad Debts 2, the function for forming value adjustments for the Flat-Rate Method According to Basel II (FIVA) was deactivated in the 'Reserve for Bad Debts (RBD)' component.

This means that when you activate the above function the FIVA value adjustment method and the following functions are not available:

  • FIVA: Update for Value Adjustment for FS-CML (transaction /IBS/RB_PEWB_RFR_SUM)
  • FIVA: Set Up and Post Planned Records for Several Source Systems (transaction /IBS/RB_PEWB_RSTM)
  • FIVA: Write-Off/Reset Value Adjustment for FS-CML (transaction /IBS/RB_PEWB_RST)

The reason for deactivation is that you can use the flat-rate value adjustment procedure (FVA) to form the same risk provision. If you have questions, send them to your contact person at SAP.

Effects on Existing Data

Deactivation of the value adjustment calculation for flat-rate method according to Basel II (FIVA) can only be executed if no relevant value adjustment positions have been formed.

  • This is the case if the database table /IBS/TRB_KTO (RBD account: Master Data) contains no active RBD accounts with value adjustment procedure 02 – FIVA.
  • If corresponding value adjustment accounts and positions exist, you must first reset the positions on each value adjustment account to 0 (zero) and then deactivate the value adjustment accounts. It is only once this has been done that you can activate the business function.

Additionally, in the Customizing activity Define RBD Account Types (menu path: Reserve for Bad Debts (RBD) -> Basic Settings -> Define RBD Account Types), no RBD account type must be assigned to the value adjustment method 02 - FIVA.
