Diagnosis

The user does not have the authorization to process value mapping for custom functions.

System Response

To process custom functions for transactions with parameters using value mapping, the user needs the authorization object /AIF/VMAP for the namespace, value mapping name, and the activity 01 (display).

This authorization is checked as follows:

  • When the user chooses the icon for custom functions in the log message view
  • When the user chooses the Test Function button on the custom function parameter screen
  • When the user chooses the Simulate button on the custom function value mapping detail screen
  • When the user chooses the OK button on the custom functions value mapping detail screen
  • In the background, when the user chooses the Edit Custom Function button on the custom functions overview screen

Procedure

  1. Use transaction SU53 to verify to missing authorizations and the authorizations assigned to the user.
  2. Create the relevant authorization and assign it to the user.
