Diagnosis

The failure of value mapping processing for custom functions is due to inaccuracies in the maintenance or use of the value mapping data or configuration, for example, in one of the following ways:

• The data maintained for value mapping is incomplete

• On the Monitoring and Error Handling screen, you entered values for parameters 1-5 that do not match the assigned value mapping and namespace

• On the Monitoring and Error Handling screen, you have not entered parameter values nor have you maintained a value in the Default Value field in Customizing for the value mapping definition

Procedure

• On the Monitoring and Error Handling screen (transaction code /AIF/ERR), ensure that the value mapping parameter values you enter are valid for the value mapping

• In Customizing, if the Use Default Value checkbox is selected, maintain a valid default value

Note that on the Monitoring and Error Handling screen, you can choose the following pushbuttons:

• Display Value Mapping Data

Navigates to the Maintenance of value mapping screen

• Display Value Mapping

Navigates to value mapping Customizing

Procedure for System Administration

• On the Maintenance of value mapping screen (transaction /AIF/VMAP), check the maintenance of the value mapping data

• In Customizing for the SAP Application Interface Framework under Interface Development -> Define Value Mappings, check the configuration of the value mapping definition
