Diagnosis

A program called a BOPF runtime API method when the runtime was already in an inconsistent state. The inconsistency was caused by a programming error which was detected earlier in the ABAP session. At this earlier point in time, the BOPF runtime has raised an exception but the calling program caught the exception and ignored the error.

The call stack where the earlier error occurred is contained in the attributes of this exception.

System Response

The BOPF runtime currently cannot recover from an inconsistent state. As the calling program still continues to call the BOPF runtime, the program is terminated with a short dump.

Procedure

If you are responsible for the programm which called the BOPF runtime, be sure to properly handle errors detected by BOPF. Usually, the best solution is to not catch any exceptions from BOPF, but to let the program dump.

If you still want to catch BOPF exceptions, be sure to gracefully end your program and do not continue to call the runtime methods of BOPF.
