In the ARun Optimizer you can flag a schedule line for special handling. Then during the next ARun or ARun Optimizer activity, the system will check the Customizing parameter here to determine the minimum quota for special handling. This acts as a release parameter for these schedule lines.

The special handling rule always takes priority over the normal ARun release rule used for a given allocation run.

Assume that you have two release rules for minimum fulfillment quotas:

• 5% for normal orders

• 10% for special handling orders

You flag a schedule line for special handling. The schedule line quantity is 100, but only 9 PC are in free available stock.

You trigger an allocation (normal ARun or via the ARun Optimizer) and select the Flag for Special Handlingfield. The system does not release the 9 PC because the 10% minimum quota for special handling is not fulfilled. It ignores the 5% release rule because it does not apply to special handling.
