In this step, you define the individual International Article Number (EAN) recycling rule. EAN recycling rules are used to define different periods of inactivity for the EANs/UPCs acccording to values of material master fields. They are defined using up to five different fields of the material master. You can use a different set of material master fields for each rule.

EAN recycling rules are used during EAN recycling processing.
