In this section you automatically create the accounting views for split valuated materials at valuation type level. Here the system bases the valuation types on the AFS valuation view (material master).

The accounting views are created with price control S (standard price) at valuation type level. The system uses the moving average price that has been stored at material level in the accounting view as initial standard price for all valuation types of a material.

An AFS material is created manually with valuation category X. In the accounting view at material level, you must enter price control V (moving average price) and a moving average price (10). Then you define the AFS valuation view with the following valuation types:

  • LARGE
  • MEDIUM
  • SMALL

You then start this process step. The result is that the material has its own accounting view with standard price control and standard price 10 for every valuation type.

The system only considers AFS materials with valuation category "X" (automatic split valuation).

This process step is only for the initial creation of material master data for the transfer of legacy data.

For example, with this function it is possible to automatically extend per mass processing material master records that are transferred from a legacy system to include the respective valuation type segments.

Then you can individually maintain the accounting views at valuation type level with the respective mass processing.

Start the processing.

The accounting views at valuation type level can be created manually per material. For this you use the price maintenance transaction in the AFS application menu (see "Accounting").
