SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity you define schemas that describe the grid determination procedure in procurement and which are stored in the material master. You assign each schema at least one condition type which refers to a specific access sequence of individual key combinations. If you assign several condition types to a schema (and in so doing, different access sequences), specify the sequence in which the AFS system will search the condition records for a valid condition type.

Standard settings

In the AFS standard the schema MM0001 has been created for purchasing. SAP recommends that you do not change this schema.

You want to base your procurement procedure on your own purchasing grids which are spefifically made for individual key combinations (for example, dependent on the vendor and material or on the purchasing organization, the vendor, and the material). To do this you use the access sequence PGRD and specify the sequence in which the AFS system should search for a valid key combination. You assign the access sequence PGRD to the condition type PGRD and link this condition type to the schema for purchasing MM0001. If you enter this schema in the AFS basic data view of the material master, the system will search for condition records when procuring the material in the sequence that you have entered in the access sequence PGRD.
