/AFS/SIMGMM_MAINTCON - Define AFS Contract Type

In AFS it is possible to create multi-level contracts and to use them to optimize your planning. The highest level of a multi-level contract is an AFS contract. It specifies the total quantity of various releasable materials of a material group.

In this IMG activity you can define your own contract types and specify whether or not they should be used as AFS contracts. If you define a contract type as an AFS contract, all contracts that are created with this contract type comprise quantities at material group level only. You can create several quantity or value contracts containing more exact information at material or SKU level, with reference to such AFS contracts.

The contract type AFSK has already been defined as an AFS contract in the AFS standard. SAP recommends not changing this contract type.
