SAP E-Book

In this step you define and/or check access sequences for the season determination. Using the access sequence you control the sequence in which the system calls the season condition tables dependent on the condition type. You also control in which sequence the system checks whether season condition records exist and if so, which tables they are based on.

You should not change the access sequences in the SAP standard system. Each of these access sequences has been created so that the system always starts searching at a general level and only accesses more specific tables if it does not find any condition records at the general level.

  1. Creating the access sequence: Description
If you want to define access sequences in addition to those already in the AFS system, enter an alphanumeric key with a maximum of four characters and assign each access sequence an informative short text. The key should begin with the letter Z because SAP leaves this namespace open in the standard system.
  1. Entering the accesses that the system should execute per access sequence
Enter the season condition tables that the system should read within your access sequence.
Assign a sequence number to each table to specify the sequence in which the system should access the tables. If you already know that you might need to change this sequence at a later time, whether because other criteria become decisive or because you want to add additional tables to this access sequence, then you should choose a larger interval when assigning the numbers.
You can be more specific on the type of access for each table by assigning specific conditions. Under certain conditions the system should not execute an access at all and under others it should only execute it under certain circumstances.
  1. Fields of the individual season condition tables
Depending on which condition tables you have entered for your access sequence, the system automatically lists the fields for each table that the tables consist of. Here you can enter additional special values for the fields and/or flag them as initial.
