/AFS/SIMGSD_VASCUGRP - Define Customer Groups

If several customers want the same value-added services for certain materials, you can combine these customers in a VAS-customer group and on this basis you can control the requested value-added services using conditions.

You uniquely define a VAS-customer group by assigning an alphanumeric key with a maximum of three digits. You assign a short informative text to this key, with which you can identify your customer group according to the requirements of your company.

To assign customers to a VAS-customer group, you store the key of this group in AFS Additional data in the Sales view of the customer master.

You can subsequently assign a customer to another VAS-customer group or remove the customer completely if their requirements have changed.

Before you delete a VAS-customer group in Customizing, be sure that you no longer use this group in valid VAS-conditions.

Several of your customers want you to pack a maximum of 15 individual shoeboxes together in one large box. For these customers you define a VAS-customer group SH1 packing shoes 1 and assign it to each customer in the customer master. The request of these customers concerning the packing of shoeboxes is mapped by using a VAS-condition in a combination of sales area, customer group, and material.
